You can only tell when it does the closeups. It's just more crisp. But, realistically, what did you expect? It's PS2.
Very impressive considering how much is onscreen.
The flowing water and waterfalls actually looked quite nice, too! I wonder if they're doing fluid simulation for that (rivers/waterfalls) or if it's just an animation.

The character models look awesome.
The rest looks kind of muddy. I blame it on 1080p. Looks much better in motion, too.
They should drop the resolution down to 720p for a steadier framerate.
Otherwise, I'm actually impressed by how much is on screen. Lookin' good.

Catan is all about controlling the resources and blocking your competitors from them.
I'm really looking forward to this game because I'm quite fond of the board game.
